How to Choose the Right Wire Cutting Machine? 5 Key Parameters

Selection Guide · 2026

When buying a wire cutting machine, many people only look at price. In fact, 5 parameters determine whether the machine suits you.

1. Wire Diameter Range (Most Important)

First, clarify the wire diameter range you need to process:

  • 1–2.5 mm: M-04 Compact High-Speed
  • 1–4 mm: S-02 Medium Servo (most versatile)
  • 3–6 mm: D-01 / D-02 Heavy-Duty Continuous
  • 1–12 mm full range: SR12 Fully Automatic

Tip: Choose a model covering both your largest and smallest diameter to avoid buying two machines.

2. Cutting Length

  • M-04: 5 – 35 mm
  • S-02: 5 – 40 mm
  • D Series: 5 – 50 mm
  • SR12: 2 – 50 mm (widest)

3. Cutting Accuracy

All Surui models achieve ±0.03 mm accuracy using our cam-type hole shearing structure (National Patent CN223114072U) — higher precision, higher speed and lower noise than ordinary equipment.

For extremely high cut-surface requirements (e.g. electronic component leads), choose M-04 or S-02 with the precision straightening option.

4. Output Requirement

Surui machines deliver 100 – 560 pcs/min, adjustable to your order volume.

  • Small batch, many varieties → M-04 (fast changeover)
  • Medium-large batch → S-02 / D-01
  • Very large batch → D-02 / SR12 (with automatic collector)

5. Material Type

Surui machines process iron, copper, aluminum, steel, stainless steel and various alloys, in round, square, hexagonal and other regular shapes.

For special materials (titanium, shape memory alloys), please contact us for evaluation.
